No Brakes, No Problem for ‘Rambo’ at Modoc Raceway

Modoc, South Carolina - It is safe to say that most folks would find the loss of brakes on their car extremely alarming. For Dennis “Rambo” Franklin of Gaffney, South Carolina it just meant adjusting his driving style a little bit. Franklin claimed the Ultimate Super Late Model Series victory at Modoc Raceway Saturday night. He led flag to flag in the 40-lap feature and picked up $4,000 for his efforts.
“We lost the brakes there about lap 14, I didn't know what happened,” Franklin said. “I switched it to three-wheel (braking) to try and get the front brakes to work but they wouldn’t slow me down. Now that we have gotten the car in the pits we have discovered that evidently a mud clod cut the left rear caliper in two.” READ MORE
