FORMER FASTRAK STAR SHINES ON ULTIMATE STAGE AT I-77 SPEEDWAY

RIPLEY, WV - The term "FASTRAK Builds Champions" is becoming a true testament in our sport. Drivers that have propelled with much success after starting in the FASTRAK brand, like Jonathan Davenport, Austin Dillon, Ty Dillon, Chris Ferguson and the list goes on. That list grows for the ULTIMATE brand on Friday at I-77 Speedway on Summer Solstice as Ryan Montgomery in the Rocket XR1 chassis broke through with his first career ULTIMATE Mid-Ohio Valley Super Late Model Series win in front of a packed house to collect the $3,000 payday in Ripley, West Virginia to officially drop the green on the 2019 race season after plagued by mother nature since April.

The fans we're thrilled with an awesome performance by a couple of West Virginia young hit shoes. Proverbial winner Ryan Montgomery held off the charge of modified competitor, now in late models #17T Tyler Evans from Mineral Wells, West Virginia. Evans would try to make a banzai move exiting turn three in the closing laps and even to the checkered flag with efforts to get around Montgomery’s left rear but would fall short. #44 David Hess from Waterford, Pennsylvania settled for a podium third place finish after giving the fans a thrilling scare & impressive save of the night getting sideways roaring into the turn for the opening laps then slamming back down hard on the clay 3/8th mile oval. #97 Kody Frame had a solid night staying out of trouble giving his efforts a solid 4th place run at the finish. Plus another FASTRAK competitor now up to the super late models #357 Kenny Rucker from Pond Gap, West Virginia would avoid hiccups during the 40 lap battle to capture the top five for the season opening race.

A couple of top contenders from the "Wild & Wonderful" State had issues with cars breaking and engine woes causing a disappointing night for them. Second place starter #17 Zack Dohm would be an early contender for most of the race hanging with the front leaders, caution would fall on #4 Nicholas Parsons slowing the field and on the restart Domn's car would develop white smoke from the rear end, many thought it was a fender rub possibly cutting down a tire. That wasn’t the case as an oil line ruptured causing heavy smoke forcing early exit in the opening series feature. Dohm and crew we’re relieved it wasn’t a blown engine and fixed the oil line before leaving for the night.

#42 Chris Garnes and #24R Robert Bostic would suffer engine and handling issues also for them both during qualifying and heat race competition, which forced them to retire from the opening race for the 2019 ULTIMATE Mid-Ohio Valley Super Late Model Series with a disappointing start for a championship hunt as well.

#28 Tyler Carpenter of Parkersburg, West Virginia the odds-on favorite in the Kryptonite Race Cars chassis went through a roller coaster of lows, then highs and then devastating lows before the green flag would even fly causing Carpenter to get a DNS for the opening race for the 2019 MOV series. After being the second quick qualifier, Carpenter’s car was deemed light at scales which caused qualifying time to be stripped forcing to start in the rear for heat race two which he would win. The top six qualifiers competed in a monumental dash for $75 to lock up the three rows of the feature. This would make heat winners #B4 Jeremy Blake and #28 Tyler Carpenter start in the fourth row. However, during the conclusion of the 4-wide salute to the fans he’d suffer contact with Rucker’s Rocket chassis which caused quick evasive action up the track, surprisingly then stalling on the front stretch victim of a broken drive shaft ending his opening day of Summer.

"I’m so thrilled to finally win on the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series, it being at a West Virginia track win it’s just absolutely more special.”, stated Ryan Montgomery. “I’ve watched ULTIMATE for years while competing in FASTRAK and never thought I’d make it to this level, they are the regions best of the best to beat, now we’re one of the elite to make that list." "I raced modified before against Tyler Evans and honestly he spanked my tail, so to come out here holding off a strong effort by him in the super late models is special in deed, there is so much respect I have for him, he’ll be going places soon too." "This is just a speechless humbling night for me, my Father (Jeff) the crew we are going to remember this one, what a great way to kick off the Summer, now we’ll go to Florence Speedway trying to sweep the weekend." concluded Montgomery.

THE BATTLE FOR THE MUSKET CONTINUES AS THE ULTIMATE MOV VISITS FLORENCE SPEEDWAY ON JUNE 22ND

CARNESVILLE, GA - The ULTIMATE Mid-Ohio Valley Super Late Model Series powered by Chew On This – Jerky will bring the regional stars of dirt track racing to Florence Speedway in Union KY on Saturday June 22nd for the 2nd Leg of the Inaugural Mountaineer Late Model Dirt Week. This will be the first trip to the Legendary Florence Speedway operated by the King Family by the ULTIMATE MOV Regional Tour under the director of Robbie Cyrus. The race will sport a $17,000 purse which includes a winner’s check of $5,000 and a starting pay of $400. The drivers will also be running to win a Mountaineer Musket over a two weekend group of races that the series is working on to secure.

Florence Speedway is one of the most must see tracks in the United States and with the ULTIMATE MOV region being re-aligned this season, Florence Speedway is now part of the ULTIMATE MOV Family of tracks. We are so happy to get Florence Speedway on our schedule in our 2nd year. The drivers in the MOV put on a great show and we believe this will be a great event as many drivers have confirmed running for the 2019 ULIMATE MOV Championship.

ULTIMATE MOV believes in making the show as fan friendly as possible. The ULTIMATE Fan Experience will come to Florence with an autograph and meet the driver session at the fan tent. Also the Fans can participate in the ULTIMATE Fan Dash. For $5 a chance, the top 6 fastest drivers from qualifying will be teamed up with 6 fans drawn from the chances purchased. The fans sponsor the dash so all the money in the pot will be tallied and split between the fan and winning driver of the ULTIMATE Fan Dash. This is one of the most popular parts of the show and one lucky fan that wins will go onto the front stretch and present the money to the driver and the driver will present their money to them.

The show consists of 2 laps of hotlap/qualifying, 8 lap heats, an 8 lap ULTIMATE Fan Dash, 12 lap B-Mains and a 50 Lap Mountaineer Dirt Week Feature.

Again, we thank Florence Speedway and the King family for being part of the ULTIMATE MOV Family of tracks and look forward to many more events in the future.

TRACK PROMOTERS MEETINGS AT WORLD FINALS WEEKEND IN CHARLOTTE

CARNESVILLE, GA - The FASTRAK/ULTIMATE Series will host a Promoters meeting across the street from the Dirt Track at Charlotte on Friday November 2nd in room 600 of the Speedway Club. Letters have been sent to all tracks associated with FASTRAK or ULTIMATE during 2018. Current affiliated tracks from 12:00 - 2:30 and interested tracks from 3:00 - 5:00 PM. (Please note speedway club rules say no t-shirts please)

"This is an important meeting to discuss the "state of late model racing", said Stan Lester, "we have been doing testing for a couple months now and want to make the promoters aware of those results. Plus, the requirements for the $50,000 to win WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP in 2019. 2019 is going to be a HUGE year for Chevrolet Performance Late Model racing and this way everyone will know the answers to all the questions their teams might have.”

On the ULTIMATE side with adding another Region "Deep South" that also opens up doors we have not had before and again simply want everyone to be aware of what’s going on so they have the answers they need also.

"It’s all about communication," said DJ Irvine GM of FASTRAK. "Most people are there for the weekend, so it gives us an opportunity to meet with everyone in person and let them know how much we appreciate then working with any of our series".

FASTRAK/ULTIMATE will also be discussing the plans for 2020 and beyond so tracks can get prepared and be ready for much larger events planned in the future.

FASTRAK/ULTIMATE will also have a VIP tent at the dirt track T-F-S and we welcome all tracks, sponsors and teams to drop by and join us for good fellowship and fun and always watching some excellent racing. "We are always so busy when we are doing events we honestly don't have a lot of time to discuss things," said Irvine, "This way we can and do so with what all love the most, dirt track racing".
