Brandon Overton Scores Ultimate Southeast Ronnie Brookshire Memorial Victory At Laurens County Speedway
Laurens, South Carolina - The Ultimate Super Late Model Series Southeast Region returned to Laurens County Speedway located in Laurens, South Carolina on Saturday October 24th for the annual "Ronnie Brookshire Memorial" event paying $4,014 to win. The event was 40 laps. 21 Ultimate Southeast competitors signed into Saturdays event.
Brandon Overton of Evans, Georgia led flag to flag holding off Zack Mitchell to score his fifth career Ultimate Super Late Model Series Southeast victory Saturday at Laurens County Speedway. Zack Mitchell, Cla Knight, Anthony Sanders, and Adam Yarbrough rounded out the top five finishers. The Davis Diesel Service fast qualifier was Brandon Overton with a time of 13.569 seconds.
The next event currently scheduled for the Ultimate Super Late Model Series Southeast Region is set for November 6th at Lancaster Motor Speedway located in Lancaster, South Carolina for a $5,000 to win event. The Ultimate Southeast Tour will also travel to Carolina Speedway located in Gastonia, North Carolina on November 7th for a $5,000 to win event.
The Ultimate Southeast Tour will be included in the "Bluegrass Nationals" event as a bonus race on October 31st at Richmond Raceway located in Richmond, Kentucky. A bonus race gives a driver the opportunity to replace a lower finish within their Region points.
