Zack Mitchell Scores Ultimate Southeast Victory At Cherokee
Gaffney, South Carolina - The Ultimate Super Late Model Series Southeast Region traveled to "The Place Your Mama Warned You About" Cherokee Speedway located in Gaffney, South Carolina on Saturday March 30th for the "Big Chief 40" event paying $7,500 to win. The event was also the 2024 season opener event for the Ultimate Super Late Model Series Southeast Region.
Four time Ultimate Southeast Tour Champion Zack Mitchell of Enoree, South Carolina led flag to flag and held off Ultimate Southeast Tour competitors to score the victory with the Ultimate Super Late Model Series Southeast Region Saturday at Cherokee Speedway worth $7,500. The victory was Mitchells seventeenth all time with the Ultimate Southeast Tour. Trent Ivey, Ben Watkins, Benji Hicks, and Christian Thomas rounded out the top five finishers. The fast qualifier of the event was Zack Mitchell. After starting 9th and finishing 6th Jeff Smith was the hard charger of the event. B-Main winners included Greg Clark and Michael Leach.
The next event currently scheduled for the Ultimate Super Late Model Series Southeast Region is set for April 6th at Lake View Motor Speedway located in Nichols, South Carolina paying $5,000 to win.
